Networks and Technical Support Engineer

Position Description: Your responsibilities are:

- Coordinating and managing client’s IT requirements
- resolving complex desktop configuration, software, and hardware problems
- Develop work processes to improve quality, enhance performance and obtain high levels of customer satisfaction
- Troubleshooting and solving technical problems,
- Maintain the servers Windows 2003 Servers to function at all times; ensure appropriate security and minimum downtime
- Install/configure/maintain/upgrade latest versions of MS-Exchange Server for E-mail with Outlook and its connectivity.
- Coordinate with the Telecom Service provider for the data feed clients leased lines problems.
- Maintaining data feed clients requests and solving their problems
- Provide user support for all user related problems pertaining to PC/Printers/Network and other IT equipment and on problems related to Office Automation products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint), MS-Outlook and other miscellaneous software
- Evaluate new PC/Server Hardware, Networking equipment’s and Network related software.

This position will give you a deep understanding of EGID’s services, products, customers, systems and the financial market in general. You will be able to establish an extensive contact and work close with our senior management in connection to the projects. You will naturally develop your technical abilities

Requirements: Relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
Excellent language skills in written and spoken Arabic and English.
Good understanding of the various PC / Server based operating system (Linux, Win 2003 Server, Win 2000 std/prof, Win Xp (Prof.) etc.
Knowledge of operational processes and procedures for area of responsibility.
1year experience from working as an IT Technical and Network Support.
Experience from the finance industry is an advantage, particularly from the exchange industry.
Cisco CCNA and network fundamentals.
Firewall and security experience is a plus.
